Shanghai Quartet performed at Rice University yesterday 01-13-09. 어려서 부터 근접해 왔던 클래식 음악, 난 10 살까지 대중 가요가 뭔지 모르고 살아 왔었다. 그리고 6학년 초에 수학여행가서 아이들이 H.O.T. 노래에 춤추며 장기 자랑할때 그때서야, 아! 이런 노래를 듣는게 쿨한거구나 했었지. Sunday mornings in Korea, I would wake up to loud classical music, most times sunshine, and my mom's humming as she cleaned the house. 엄마는 내가 엄마 배안에 있을때에도 헤드폰을 배에 놓고 클래식을 들려 주셨다고 한다. Conert was a peaceful delight to a wonderful afternoon. Rediscovering serenity that comes from classical music, what a productive day it was.
